Employee Orientation Benchmarking Study
| In 2000, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board led a benchmarking examination of a number of leading workplaces to identify the factors that accounted for the sucess of their employee occupational health and safety orientation programs. The Final Report includes findings on orientation along with details on the methodogy behind the benchmarking study. The report resulted in the development of resources for workplaces to use when developing their own orientation programs. The resources include a Guide for Employers and a Guide for Workers. |

Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation -Ergonomics Best Practices for Manufacturing
| Many of the injuries in manufacturing are muskuloskeletal disorders caused by cumulative trauma. Back injuries, tendonitis, and carpal-tunnel syndrome are examples of common CTD's. This report looks at the Ergonomic Process, detailing several ways to reduce and eliminate the presence of CTD's. It also includes ways to reduce and eliminate CTD's through Employee Training, Task force Development, Manufacturing ergonomic best practices, and various case studies of other companies that found results in using these methods. |
